OUR SERVICES

Collaborative Engineering Team
Colour Wall & Sample Panels

Finding the right colour is the starting point of every successful project. At our Tabasalu facility, we have a dedicated Colour Wall – a large, professionally organised display featuring hundreds of Alesta® powder-coated sample panels in a wide range of colours, effects, textures, and gloss levels. This allows you to compare finishes side by side under consistent lighting conditions, making colour selection faster and more reliable than working from small chips alone.

Whether you are an architect searching for the perfect facade shade, a designer exploring metallic and anodic effects, or a production manager verifying a colour match, our Colour Wall gives you hands-on access to the full breadth of the Alesta® range. We regularly update the display with new collections and trending finishes.

In addition, standard sample panels can be ordered through the Axalta Explore platform (explore.axalta.com) – request individual colour samples, collection sets, or custom panels for client presentations and approvals.

Hanging & Masking Showroom

Our office in Tabasalu features a dedicated showroom equipped with the complete range of HangOn® hanging hooks, racking systems, and masking products. This is not just a display – it’s a working space where you can bring your own parts and test different hanging and masking solutions hands-on.

Come with your components and try out different hook types, racking configurations, and masking options to find the most effective solution for your specific parts and process. Alternatively, send us your parts or detailed drawings and we will evaluate the best hanging and masking approach and provide recommendations with product specifications and pricing. Our team’s deep knowledge of the HangOn® range means we can quickly identify solutions that improve hanging density, reduce masking time, and increase your overall line efficiency.

Corrosion tests
  • Corrosion test (ACT) – Cyclical corrosion testing on coated panels or parts. Meets Volvo STD 423, Scania STD 4319, and ISO 16701. Standard exposure: 6 weeks.

  • Neutral salt spray test – Per ISO 9227 and ASTM B-117. Exposure times from 120h to 1440h, verifying corrosion classes per EN ISO 12944.

  • Humidity test – Condensed water atmosphere at 40°C / 100% RH per ISO 6270-2.

  • Humidity test in tropical chamber – Cyclic temperature/humidity exposure per Volvo STD 423-0018

Laboratory Testing

Through our partnership with Axalta’s accredited laboratory, we offer a comprehensive range of coating performance tests. These services help you verify that your coating systems meet required specifications, troubleshoot quality issues, and provide documented evidence for your customers. Available tests include:

  • Curing test (DSC analysis) – Determines whether a coating is fully cured by measuring glass transition temperature (Tg). Uses Mettler Toledo DSC 3 equipment. Meets Scania STD 4177.

  • High pressure water test – Adhesion testing between coating layers using high-pressure water jet. Per Volvo STD 423-0015 and Scania STD 4234.

  • Water immersion test – Resistance to water per ISO 2812-2.

  • Stone chip test – Resistance to stone chipping impact.

  • Cross-cut adhesion test – Coating adhesion per ISO 2409.

  • Extension / flexibility test – Coating elongation and bending performance.

  • Chemical resistance test – Resistance to specific chemical agents.

  • Pendulum hardness (König) – Surface hardness measurement including at elevated temperature.

  • Impact test – Impact strength using falling ball method on 0.8–1.0 mm steel or aluminium panels.

  • Accelerated UV test (QUV-A, QUV-B, Xenon) – Colour and gloss retention under accelerated weathering.

  • Particle size measurement – Laser diffraction analysis per ISO 13320 using Sympatec Helos BR.

  • Microscopic defect analysis – Detailed microscopic examination of coating defects.

  • Panel coating service – Preparation of master/reference panels with measured colour deviation.

  • Furniture Fact test – Resistance testing for furniture applications (water, grease, coffee, sweat, scratch).

Coating Line Cost-Efficiency Analysis

Every percentage point of waste in a coating line adds up — in powder, energy, labour, and rejects. Our Coating Line Cost-Efficiency Analysis takes a systematic look at your entire operation: how densely you hang parts, how efficiently your oven runs, how much powder you're actually consuming per square metre, and where your reject rates are hiding real costs.

Using the HangOn CCC Calculator and our hands-on process expertise, we translate observations into numbers — so you can see exactly what inefficiencies cost you today, and what the gain looks like before committing to any change.

HangOn is a global partner trusted in over 40 countries, designing and manufacturing smart hanging, masking and handling solutions that make coating lines measurably more profitable. When we analyse your line, we bring that same engineering precision to your specific situation.

Consultations

Running a coating line means juggling chemistry, physics, equipment, and people — all at once. When something goes wrong, or when you simply want to run tighter and leaner, an experienced outside perspective makes the difference.

Our technical consultations cover the full scope of the coating process: choosing the right powder for the application and environment, achieving precise colour matches, optimising your chemical pretreatment sequence, designing smarter hanging and masking strategies, and diagnosing the root cause of recurring defects.

Whether you're commissioning a new line, troubleshooting a persistent quality issue, evaluating a supplier change, or just looking to squeeze more output from your existing setup — we work through it with you directly. On-site or remote, in a single session or as ongoing support.

Group of Engineers
Anticorrosion System finder

Specifying the right anticorrosion coating system doesn't have to be complicated. Axalta's Anticorrosion System Finder is an interactive tool that guides you to the correct powder coating system in minutes — based on your exact project parameters.

Simply define your corrosion environment (C1 to C5 or CX, interior or exterior), select your substrate — steel, aluminium, hot-dip galvanised, Sendzimir, metallised or others — set the required durability from under 7 years up to over 25 years, and add any additional performance requirements such as abrasion resistance, wide colour range, or extreme temperature tolerance.

The tool returns specific one- or two-layer Alesta system recommendations tailored to your inputs. As your authorised Alesta distributor in the Baltics, we can then help you source the right products, advise on application parameters, and support your team through the full process.
